Discover the intense flavor of San Marzano Primitivo di Manduria Over 60. Primitivo di Manduria is a captivating red wine from the renowned Cantina San Marzano winery in Puglia. This remarkable wine embodies the soul of the region and reflects the winery's distinctive characteristics.

The grapes for this Primitivo come from bush vines ("Sessantanni") that are at least sixty years old and are carefully cultivated at a planting density of 5,000 vines per hectare. This ensures exceptional concentration and quality of the grapes.

The vineyards stretch across the Sessantanni valley, an area between San Marzano and Sava (TA). Here, high temperatures, low rainfall, and significant temperature variations create ideal conditions that positively impact grape quality. This area is known as the classic growing region for the DOP Primitivo di Manduria.

The soil on which the grapes thrive is characterized by fine, red soil with a calcareous substrate and occasional rocky outcrops. The soil's famous red color is caused by the presence of iron oxide and gives the wine a unique character.

The San Marzano Primitivo di Manduria Over 60 presents itself with an intense, ruby-red color in the glass. Its aroma is characterized by ripe fruit, spices, and a hint of vanilla. This is due, in part, to its 12-month aging in French and American oak barrels. On the palate, it unfolds an opulent structure, accompanied by pleasant acidity and silky tannins.
