Let Satrapezo Saperavi transport you to the deepest aromas of Georgia. This premium red wine embodies the centuries-old winemaking tradition and exquisite craftsmanship of the Kakheti region. The name "Satrapezo" comes from the Greek word "trapeza," meaning "sacred table." In ancient times, the finest wines were reserved for ceremonial occasions, and it is precisely these precious wines that distinguish the Satrapezo range.

Satrapezo Saperavi is carefully crafted from Saperavi grapes harvested in the highly prized Kondoli vineyards. Here, the yield is deliberately reduced to 4-5 tons per hectare to maximize the concentration and quality of the grapes. After careful hand-harvesting into small crates, the grapes are placed in traditional qvevri, where they are processed in the Georgian style.

  • Color: Deep red with a brick-red line at the edge
  • Bouquet: On the nose, spices, vanilla and concentrated forest berries unfold.
  • Taste: Initially, sweet black fruits and dried berries emerge. The mid-palate is soft and rounded, with a well-integrated complex of grape and oak tannins. The finish is long and spicy, supported by firm tannins.

The wine ferments with natural yeasts at a maximum temperature of 26°C, while the grapes are hand-pressed throughout to gently extract the aromas. After an extended maceration of approximately six months, the wine is transferred to new oak barrels, where it matures for 24 months. This special aging process gives Satrapezo Saperavi its complex aromas and remarkable depth, which you will savor with every sip.

In the glass, Satrapezo Saperavi displays a deep red hue with a brick-red rim. The aroma is seductive, revealing a harmonious blend of spices, vanilla, and intensely concentrated wild berries. On the palate, the wine impresses with sweet black fruits and dried berries, while the tannins integrate beautifully into the velvety texture. The complexity of grape and oak creates a long, spicy finish that will linger long after the last sip.
