Valdo Spumanti – Prosecco expertise from the heart of Veneto

For over 90 years, Valdo Spumanti has stood for the finest Italian sparkling wine craftsmanship. Founded in the heart of the Prosecco region of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, the traditional winery lies within a unique cultural landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Just an hour and a half from Venice, Valdo perfectly combines the values of family tradition, terroir-driven quality, and innovative winemaking.

Valdo's story is inextricably linked to the Bolla family, who have been involved in winemaking for three generations. Their deep connection to the region and the local winegrowers is evident in every bottle that leaves the winery. Valdo is a true family business with heart and vision, masterfully combining centuries-old winemaking traditions with state-of-the-art cellar technology.

Rooted in the terroir – wines with origin and character

The quality of sparkling wines begins in the vineyard – and that's precisely where Valdo focuses its efforts. Working with over 70 long-standing winegrowing partners, the winery oversees every step of the process, from vine to bottle. The entire production process is fully controlled: from pruning and harvesting to vinification and bottling. The focus is on the sustainable cultivation of traditional grape varieties such as Glera and Garganega, complemented by innovative varieties like Chardonnay and Nerello Mascalese, which enable new styles.

This close relationship between winegrowers and the winery is based on trust, mutual respect, and intensive exchange. Valdo's cellar masters support the partner wineries with expert advice, thus ensuring consistently high grape quality.

Iconic wines from legendary vineyards

A prime example of Valdo's understanding of quality is the Cuvée di Boj – a top-tier cuvée from the historic Valle dei Buoi, whose unique soil structure and microclimate offer ideal conditions for complex sparkling wines. Equally iconic is the Viviana Cartizze, an exclusive bottling from the coveted single vineyard Cartizze – a small hill with a legendary reputation, considered the king of Prosecco DOCG vineyards.

With such prestigious projects, Valdo demonstrates that terroir, craftsmanship and innovative spirit can lead to truly exceptional results.

Courage to innovate – new paths with style

Although deeply rooted in tradition, Valdo is not afraid to break new ground. With the Cuvée del Fondatore, the winery pays tribute to its founder with a very special sparkling wine, which gains a fascinating structure from a small proportion of Chardonnay and aging in barriques. Valdo also sets standards in the realm of rosé wines – for example, through the use of the noble Sicilian grape Nerello Mascalese, which is typically rarely used for sparkling wines.
