Weinparadiso sells wine in Neuburg

In October, Le Chef Wilfried Greben opened his Weinparadiso wine shop in Neuburg an der Donau. A fantastic new destination for lovers of Riesling, Pinot Noir, and other wines. What experiences has Wilfried Greben gained in recent months? One thing is clear: the wine selection is firmly in the hands of women.
More than 40 years ago, the owner of the wine shop Weinparadiso discovered his love for wine. Now he sells wine in his own shop in Neuburg . Through friendships with winemakers in Germany, Austria, and South Africa, this passion has been nurtured year after year, and his wine knowledge has steadily expanded. So, when searching for the perfect bottle of wine, you can be sure of receiving expert advice here. But who actually seeks advice at Weinparadiso? It's almost exclusively women. " Since the reopening of Weinparadiso on October 17, 2020, 90% of my customers have been women ." Just 25 to 30 years ago, wine was considered a man's domain – at least when it came to choosing it.
The man used to choose what was to be drunk and was served the wine first. But today, my experience in my own wine shop shows me that the tables have completely turned. Now it's the women who are responsible for buying wine, observes the experienced wine expert.
The women might have joined in the drinking, but the sommelier always stood by the husband's side during the wine tasting. He was in charge; the evaluation was his. I remember it well; it was simply the done thing – whether at the Fürstenhof in Munich, in upscale restaurants in Paris, or at Restaurant Victoria in Düsseldorf: " The times they are changing, " as Bob Dylan famously sang – times are changing. But that certainly doesn't mean men are unwelcome in this wine paradise. "Well, they are just as welcome," Wilfried Greben laughs.
Besides wine, the Neuburg wine paradise also offers spirits, gourmet foods and various gift ideas for all occasions.
