• Terroir: The wine benefits from a soil composed of marl and Eocene sandstone, known as "Ponca". This particular soil structure is a characteristic feature of the hills of eastern Friuli.
• Grape varieties: A harmonious blend of Friulano and Ribolla Gialla gives this wine its unique character. These indigenous grape varieties are carefully selected to guarantee the wine's quality and expressiveness.
• Training system: The traditional training method of short-cut trellises with a plant density of 5,000 vines per hectare allows for targeted care of the grapes and promotes optimal ripening.
• Vinification: The winemaking process begins with a cold maceration at 4°C for 36 hours. The gently pressed must is enriched with an indigenous fermentation yeast made from the finest grapes of the same variety. Slow fermentation and aging on the lees take place in large (30-liter) Slavonian oak barrels, giving the wine its remarkable complexity and structure.
• Aromas and taste: The refined and elegant bouquet of vanilla custard, acacia blossom, and fresh fruit notes melts on the palate into a delicate and full-bodied character. The characteristic features of Friulano and Ribolla Gialla define the lingering finish.
