With its ruby to dark garnet red color and intense aromas of violets, blackberries, and cherries, Lagrein delights both the nose and palate. On the palate, it reveals notes of raspberry, bittersweet chocolate, licorice, and delicate spices. Its robust tannin structure and long, elegant finish make it a truly special moment of enjoyment.

The grapes thrive in the deep, sandy, and calcareous soils of the South Tyrolean hills at altitudes of 250 to 400 meters. A Mediterranean climate during the day and cool katabatic winds at night create ideal conditions for this distinctive grape variety. After hand-harvesting, the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and concrete vats before aging for at least six months in wooden and concrete barrels to develop its complexity.
