Apulia's red wine jewel

Discover the magical world of San Marzano Lamadoro Primitivo Puglia, an exceptional red wine from the renowned San Marzano winery. This unique wine originates from the sun-drenched vineyards surrounding San Marzano di San Giuseppe (TA) in northern Salento, Puglia, near the Ionian Sea. The vineyards lie at an altitude of almost 100 meters above sea level and benefit from high average temperatures and low rainfall throughout the year. The soil is shallow and consists mainly of clay with a good proportion of limestone, which gives it its reddish-brown color (Terra Rossa) due to iron oxides.

Harvest time and vinification

The grapes for the San Marzano Lamadoro Primitivo Puglia are carefully hand-harvested in the first weeks of September. Winemaking involves controlled maceration for approximately 10 days and alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts.
