Vineyard and harvest time
The vineyards stretch almost 100 meters above sea level, enjoying a moderately warm climate with little annual rainfall. The clay soil, which averages up to one meter in depth, gives the grapes their unique quality. The grapes for the San Marzano I Tratturi Malvasia Sauvignon Salento are hand-harvested in mid-August when they have reached full ripeness.
