The Rigoloccio Fonte dell'Anguillaia Costa Toscana Rosso is a further development of the earlier base wine "Cabernet and Alicante" and takes its name from the river that flows along the edges of the vineyard. Various minerals, such as pyrite from the Rigoloccio mine and silver sulfide, can still be found in its waters. Elegance, flavor, and freshness are the key words to describe this captivating blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Merlot, which, despite only being in its third year of production, has already become a minor classic at Rigoloccio.
- Color: Intense ruby red with violet reflections
- Bouquet: Complex with rosehip, wild berries, sour cherry, currant and subtle spices
- Taste: Fresh, structured and balanced, with a long, mineral-fruity finish and balsamic notes
Maceration and fermentation take place at a controlled temperature (26°C) for 21 days, with pump-overs and whisking. Maturation lasts 12 months in stainless steel tanks, followed by 4 months in the bottle [WoA].
