The Manara Amarone della Valpolicella Postera is a remarkable wine from the renowned Valpolicella region in northern Italy. Made from select grapes and crafted with great care, this Amarone presents exceptional quality and is distinguished by its unique personality.
- Color: Intense ruby red
- Bouquet: Rich aromas of ripe fruits, spices and subtle roasted notes
- Taste: Full-bodied, velvety, complex with an elegant structure and long finish
Body and flavor profile: This Amarone displays a deep red color, reflecting its intensity and concentration. On the palate, it unfolds a complex flavor profile dominated by ripe red fruits such as cherries and blackberries. These aromas are accompanied by subtle notes of spice, tobacco, and dark chocolate. The wine has a full body with silky tannins that lend it structure and elegance.
Production and Aging: The grapes for Manara Amarone della Valpolicella Postera are hand-harvested and carefully selected. After harvesting, they are dried for a period of time to concentrate their aromas and intensify their sweetness. Fermentation and maceration then take place, during which the wine develops its deep color and complex aromas. The Amarone then matures for an appropriate period in oak barrels to refine its texture and develop additional nuances.
A unique vineyard on a hill in the Marano district, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico region. Its name "Postera" in the local dialect refers to its exposure to the sun all day long.
The grape varieties used are Corvina, Rondinella, and Oseleta (Croatia). The harvest was carefully hand-selected for the drying process, which lasts an average of three months. Gentle crushing follows, then maceration on the skins and slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 40–60 days.
The wine is then aged in French oak barrels and tonneaux for approximately 18 months, followed by aging in stainless steel tanks. Bottle aging varies between 6 and 12 months, giving the wine an intense ruby-red color.
