The Giribaldi Nebbiolo d'Alba Conca d'Oro comes from the vineyard in Fontanaccia, in an area called "conco d'oro" in the municipality of Montelupo Albese, and lies 380 meters above sea level. The vineyard covers 1.68 hectares and the soil is fertile, loose, and calcareous with marl, facing south.
- Color : Intense ruby red with delicate orange reflections
- Bouquet : Complex and delicate – with notes of rose, vanilla, raspberry, balsamic, cinnamon and red jam.
- Taste : Dry, round and harmonious with present but youthful tannins, fruity depth and a long finish
The vineyard consists exclusively of Nebbiolo, using Italian clonal material (Michet & Lancia). The training system is Guyot, with 5,300 vines per hectare. The vineyard, "Conca d'Oro" or "Golden Bath," gets its name from the golden color of the vine leaves in summer and autumn [WoA].
- Winemaker/Winery : Az. Agr. Mario Giribaldi, Piedmont , Italy
- Grape variety : Nebbiolo (100%)
- Quality level : Denominazione di Origine Protetta (DOP)
- Wine type : Red wine, wine bottle, 750ml, dry, barrel-aged
The Giribaldi Nebbiolo d'Alba Conca d'Oro is characterized by an intense ruby-red color with orange highlights. The nose reveals distinct aromas of rose, raspberry, vanilla, and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is dry, round, and full-bodied with youthful, assertive tannins, fruit syrup, and cinnamon. Balanced and long on the finish.
The grapes are macerated for 16 days at a controlled temperature of 28°C with several pump-overs throughout the day. After 40 days of aging in stainless steel, the wine matures in oak barrels and tonneaux (225 and 500 liters) until it reaches the desired maturity, and then ages for at least 5 months in the bottle.
This is not an everyday wine – it's an experience for all the senses. If you appreciate full-bodied, elegant red wines with depth, you'll love the Giribaldi Nebbiolo. Bring a piece of Piedmontese wine tradition home – order online now and experience pure enjoyment [WoA].
