Bonfanti Amarone della Valpolicella Barrique DOCG 2018
KLEINAITINGEN
Germanenstraße 6
86507 Kleinaitingen
Germany
Only the finest grapes from the vineyard are used to produce the Amarone della Valpolicella, aged in barriques. This gives it its intense and deep ruby-red color. An exceptionally elegant aroma of ripe fruit and delicate spices. Enveloping tannins, soft and ripe. Spiced with aromas of tobacco and black pepper, with hints of cherry and dried fruit. Overall, intensely fruity, with a pronounced aroma, soft yet robust, warm, and powerful.
- Colour: Deep, intense ruby red with garnet red nuances
- Bouquet: Elegant and spicy with notes of ripe cherry, tobacco and black pepper
- Taste: Full-bodied, fruity, soft, strong, warm and harmonious
During the harvest in September, only healthy grapes are picked. The grapes are then placed in barrels for three months to dry (wilt). This process concentrates the grapes' sugars, acids, tannins, and aromas. After three months, the grapes are pressed. The resulting must begins alcoholic fermentation. The wine then matures for three years in oak barrels, developing complex aromas such as spicy and ripe red cherries. It is then aged for a further eight months in the bottle.
