Albino Armani Amarone della Valpolicella – Italian delight from Veneto. Are you looking for an exceptional red wine for special moments? Then the Albino Armani Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG is perfect for you! This exquisite wine comes from the historic Valpolicella Classica wine region in Veneto, more precisely from the picturesque Marano Valley, where viticulture on stone terraces has a centuries-old tradition.
On the nose, it delights with intense aromas of ripe plums, cherries, dark spices, and delicate notes of chocolate and coffee. On the palate, the Amarone impresses with its robust body, balanced freshness, silky tannins, and a long, lingering finish.
- Color: Intense ruby red
- Bouquet: Ripe plums, sour cherry, dark spices, chocolate, coffee
- Taste: Full-bodied, velvety, with a balanced interplay of acidity and tannins and a long finish
Amarone is made from the indigenous grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella. The carefully selected grapes are slowly dried in airy drying rooms (known as fruttaio) – a traditional process called appassimento, which gives the wine its unparalleled density, complexity, and richness. After gentle pressing and a long fermentation, the wine matures to perfection in large wooden barrels.
