Calimocho - Cola meets red wine
Aromatic and sparkling aperitif Calimocho
Mixing cola with red wine? A somewhat unusual, but very tasty cocktail. In some regions, it's common to add extra flavors to the Calimocho cocktail, such as a splash of blackberry or kiwi liqueur, a hint of lemon juice, or even a dash of vodka or rum.
Wine-based mixed drink
The refreshing Calimocho or Kalimotxo is a very popular Spanish mixed drink that combines red wine and cola for a unique taste experience. The alcohol content varies depending on the wine, while the cola contributes caffeine, phosphoric acid, and sugar. In Austria, the drink is better known as "Cola Rot" (Red Cola) with red wine (aka Bonanza or Fetzi) or, alternatively, "Cola Weiß" (White Cola) with white wine.
