Dear winegrowing families,

The events of the past few days represent a profound disruption. No one can say for sure how long the situation caused by the coronavirus crisis will last. The cancellation of events and visits presents us all with challenges.

You may have already heard of Winetory.net. We turned necessity into a virtue and now host live online tastings several times a week. We bring winemakers together with customers, taste wines, and discuss them live.

Our sommelier, Andrea Vestri, speaks live with the winemakers on Facebook and Instagram. Viewers can pre-order the wines through our online shop. During the broadcast, customers sit on their couches, taste the wines, ask questions, and give their feedback. Details about the concept can be found here: LiveTasting

About the wine live tasting

Our goal is to create a unique wine community, bringing winemakers and wine enthusiasts together. We want to showcase life and work on the winery through photos and videos, giving you a deeper understanding of how a wine's quality ends up in your glass.

With the innovative format of Wine Live Tasting on Instagram, we enable direct exchange with our sommelier Andrea and the winemaker of the wine.

Our sommelier Andrea came to Germany from Italy 29 years ago. He has lived and worked in Munich for the past 19 years. In addition to running his sommelier school, he is a wine entertainer at events and a tour guide on his own wine tours through Germany and Italy.

Anyone can participate in the live wine tasting. The only requirements are that the Instagram and Facebook apps are installed on your mobile phone and that you are ideally in an area with Wi-Fi or sufficient network coverage (4G recommended) at the time the live wine tasting is broadcast.

Our sommelier, Andra Vestri from Munich, will open and taste the wines live with you and then discuss his opinion. But that's not all: the winemakers of each wine will also be there to answer your questions.

Interaction between sommelier and winemaker(s)

During the live wine tasting on Instagram, all participants can ask questions and leave comments. These will be displayed directly. Sommelier Andrea and the participating winemaker will respond.

This format is a series. Live wine tastings take place at regular intervals. Between tastings, the wines can be ordered via the Winetory.net product page. After the tasting, the videos will remain available on YouTube. This means you can join the live wine tasting at any time.
